Senior Blockchain Engineer

ℹ️ Who we are & Mission

👀 Who we are looking for

Your role as a Senior Blockchain Engineer is to develop cutting edge, unique DeFi features that enhance the user experience on the AlgoBlocks platform.
 

  • Write smart contracts that adhere to high technical standards as well as having solid business logic (to prevent exploits)

  • Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code that following best engineering practices

  • Solve technical problems with the highest level of common sense and business sense (Remember most of the “hacks” you hear about in DeFi or crypto are not because of technically incorrect code; its because there was a flaw in the business logic)

  • Review, test, and verify code for adherence to quality and security standards.
     

🧑‍💻 Who you are

  • Fluent in English (MUST) and a second language (Good to have) 

  • Bachelors degree or above in Computer Science or an EECS degree from an accredited university

  • 3+ years of experience working in Blockchain and DeFi space (junior role for less experience) 

  • 5+ years of experience of full-time software development experience

  • Proficiency in mainstream blockchain development frameworks (web3.js - Eth.js -OpenZepplin - Solidity...etc)

  • Experience developing smart contracts for other Defi products. (MUST)

  • Active Github repository (No exceptions)

  • Up-to-date understanding of the recent security issues within the blockchain space.

  • Knowledge of Blockchain development cycle, deployment, and testing automation.

  • Burning desire to work at a fast-paced startup. Working at a startup is a lifestyle, not a vocation.

Web3 DevOps Engineer

👀 Who we are looking for
 

  • Troubleshooting techniques and fixing code bugs, technical skills to review, validate and validate software code developed in the project.

  • Monitor process compliance throughout the lifecycle. Update or create new processes to improve and minimize waste, and encourage and build automated processes.

  • Identify and deploy network security measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk management.

  • Select and deploy appropriate CI/CD tools, strive for continuous improvement, and build continuous integration, continuous development, and continuous deployment pipelines (CI/CD pipelines)

  • Cloud environment administration (Digital Ocean, Google Cloud)
     

🧑‍💻 Who you are

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience 3-5 years of relevant work experience in DevOps

  • You have stayed in your latest job for at least 1 year, full-time at a reputable company in the crypto space

  • Experience in managing applications in cloud environments, such as Digital Ocean, Amazon, AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure.

  • Proficiency in Typescript 

  • Experience in managing Kubernetes clusters and Docker.

  • (preferred) Experience in web monitoring platform such as AppDynamics or DynaTrace experience.

  • Keen interest in developing a career within the Web3 or DeFi space (Tell us why)

  • Fluent in English.

Web3 Front-End Engineer

👀 Who we are looking for

Your role as a Front-end Engineer is to help Algoblocks deliver a fantastic user experience. You will work very closely with the team (Blockchain-backend engineers and the UIUX Designer) and discuss possible solutions and propose better ways to provide that wow factor we are looking for
 

🧑‍💻 Who you are

  • Fluent in English

  • 5+ years of experience working as a front-end developer.

  • Experience working with React.js

  • Working with Typescript Required

  • Experience working material design libraries ( material-ui)

  • Proficiency in CSS, HTML, JS.

  • Experience executing automated front-end integration and unit testing.

  • Experience working with Blockchain / DeFi Dapps

  • Experience working with Mobile Apps highly preferred

  • Working closely with the UIUX Designer and consulting with the Senior Blockchain Engineer to build out the front end

  • Startup (fintech / blockchain) or individual project experience. Show us what you built there. 😊 . A strong portfolio and codebase will be required to demonstrate your abilities

👀 Role and Responsibilities

Your role as the Head of Engineering is lead a team, setup and manage a robust dev process to develop cutting edge, unique DeFi features that enhance the user experience on the AlgoBlocks platform.

  • Troubleshooting techniques and fixing code bugs, technical skills to review, validate and validate software code developed in the project.

  • Solve technical problems with the highest level of common sense and business sense (Remember most of the “hacks” you hear about in DeFi or crypto are not because of technically incorrect code; its because there was a flaw in the business logic)

👨‍💻 Breakdown of Duties

  • Management - E.g. Managing Internal and External Engineering talent - 50%

  • Product Architect / Design - 20%

  • PM: Managing dev sprints and setting up CI/CD pipelines - 10%

  • Code Review before merging - 10%

  • Fund Raising Representation and Participation - 5%

  • Coding of key features - 5%

The breakdown is negotiable for those who prefer to be more hands-on

 

🧑‍💻 Qualifications
